Kimberly Werner is the owner and head designer at Purple Wagon Designs. Since childhood, Kimberly has known that art and design was her calling. Other kids wanted to be firemen and ballerinas – Kimberly wanted to own her own design studio.
Knowing her direction early on in life has been invaluable to Kimberly. In high school, she took all of the numerous available art classes, won countless awards and contests for her artwork, and was even awarded two art scholarships. She took this scholarship money to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where she majored in Graphic Design. She graduated with honors to the accolades of her instructors.
From there, Kimberly used her passion for art and design and her refined talent in the ‘real world.’ She worked as the Creative Director for a local consulting firm, handling all of the graphic design needs for numerous clients nationwide. Eventually, though, she knew it was time to take the plunge and start her own design firm and started Design Intervention in 2005.
Since then, Kimberly has been designing logos, stationery, brochures, catalogs, and websites on a corporate level. In 2009, she created a new division – Purple Wagon Designs – to meet the growing demands of the stationery market specializing in paper goods for every occasion!
